CINEMA

A Parks and Recreation Special was an unnecessary delight. While it in no way matched the level of any of the 125 Parks and Recreation episodes, this 30 minute reunion was a nice light within the darkness we are currently living in.

All of the original cast (minus Paul Schneider) reunited for this half hour special that involved all the actors interacting with each other via video call while in character. Because they did all film at home, they had to clarify why Andy wasn't with April (hilariously I must add) and why Chris wasn't with Ann. Along with them, we have a few other iconic characters show up and expand the overall message the reunion was attempting to convey.

At any other time, this reunion special would have been rather lackluster beyond the nostalgic feeling you receive through the theme and the characters, well, reuniting. Not all the jokes hit, and even the ones that do certainly don't hit like a normal episode. However, for diehard Parks and Recreation fans, give this one a watch when it's streaming - but there's no reason to rush.
